Your Perfect Holidays are our Family Affair
The main house of our family was built by our Bavarian ancestors in the 15th century. Back then it was a farm where travellers could stay overnight and change their horses. If the walls of our house could talk, they would definitely have to tell a lot. The massive stone walls, which have provided shelter from wind and cold ever since, are still part of our restaurant and can be seen on the ground floor and the first floor. You will feel their age and the significance they have had for more than the last 500 years.
In 1992 my Father decided that it was now his time to go back home and to take over my grandparents' inn together with his wife Anita. He was only 27 then, but had alreeady gained a lot of experience in the field of gastronomy, and was full of hospitality and passion for his job.
My parents, who love telling stories about the time they spent together working at the Arlberg, in Switzerland and
in Sylt, wanted to change and improve the traditional inn and thus, in 2007 they decided to start living their own dream. They met the architect Hans Gruber, whose work they were absolutely enthusiastic about and whose taste, style and architectural accomplishments definitely met their expectations.
This is an achievement, hardly anybody else could accomplish. With a lot of experience, passion and an eye for detail they still work together.
I am proud that our house has been run as such a hospitable place for 13 generations and that I am the 14th generation of this incredible family history.
We hope you will have an unforgettable stay at our hotel, that we can make you feel at home. For us, this is the most important aspect of a holiday in our house - a house whose walls could tell stories.
